Here we have a trophy that has been in my procession for 20 years, bought from a personal sponsor and friend of Shawn Moran. This is the Frank Varey Northern Trophy that was contested by Northern based teams on a individual meeting basis. Along with the trophy is a note from the previous owner outlining how he acquired it. Previous winners include Ivan Mauger 6 times, Jim Airey, Eric Boocock, Peter Collins amongst others. A piece of Northern speedway history
