This reproduction of the Monte-Carlo Rallye entry number 314 on solid cast iron represents the number used by Mr Tony Brooks and co driver Willie Cave in the actual Rallye . The vehicle was a London black cab ( Taxi ) registration UXX 794 sponsored by the B.B.C. It was televised showing the driver and Peter Dimmock discussing the route prior to his programme. The Taxi was entered in a special class so that it did not really have to compete, but it was withdrawn half way due to mechanical problems, therefore it did not reach Monte-Carlo.. the item measures 34 x 15 mm and weighs 600 grams. i have an eclectic mix of items for sale on Ebay currently, why not have a look?
