Rare Norton Villers commemorative plaque for the 1972 FIM Congress in London

£16.15

This is a presentation plaque commemorating the 1972 FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) Congress held in London, England. It was presented by Norton Villiers Limited, dated October 24th. The plaque features an illustration of a John Player Norton racing motorcycle, which was a well-known racing team and brand collaboration during that era. Norton Villiers was the company responsible for manufacturing motorcycles under brands such as Norton, Triumph, and Villiers engines during the 1970s. The annual FIM Congress is where major decisions are made: racing rules, safety standards, championship structures, and international policy. My late father worked for the company at this time.
