Bandleader BILLY COTTON started Brooklands racing on a Riley before going over to a K3 M.G. on which, with "Wilkie" as co-driver, he finished 3rd in the International Trophy Race of 1937. In 1938 and 1939 he drove an E.R.A. and with it won the very last Mountain Race ever to be run at Brooklands.
